A.O. Smith made huge investment to establish A.O. Smith (Shanghai) Water Treatment Products Co., Ltd. which specializes in the R&D, production and sales of residential, commercial and industrial water treatment products.

A.O. Smith entered China and became a well-known brand very soon.

On the day of A.O.Smith one hundred years anniversary,first energy saving production line was launched for water heaters.

 

A.O.Smith set up the factory with 400,000 square feet in Kankakee,Illionois for water heater manufacturing,which was the largest industial park in America.during 1940s.

A.O.Smith applied patent of Kim Kyu-liner which was widely used on water heaters production as the standard in the field.Meanwhile,A.O.Smith sucessfully step into water heater business

 

A.O.Smith had been one of the largest pressure boiler producers in the world. The picture shows its manufacturing ability at that time.

On May 23rd, the industrial world-Robot arm was introduced into A.O.Smith production line,which was the first automatic chassis workshop in the world.

A.O.Smith produced one hundred and ten thousand automotive chassis ----it’s two thirds of all the demand in the whole industry. A.O.Smith are always in the forefront in the welding materials and the development of technology in the following 30 years.

A.O.Smith manufactured chassis for Ford,Cadillac and other well-known car makers.
